Alice Wild: How Natural The Dialogue Feels

Candy AI promises conversations and chat with a personality of their own, adapting to the tone and input you give them. In this part, I am looking at how the chat with Alice comes across, the flow, personality, reaction to mood changes, etc.

Test for Conversation Recovery

I came in in the middle of her conversation and interrupted my sentence, asking her to carry on. She could continue the same line of conversation quite smoothly and naturally, carrying on without any hesitation. The conversation was quite calm and reflective.

Test for Tone Matching

I then changed the tone I was using in the conversation to see if it could be adjusted. I asked her to keep things more relaxed instead of playful. She adapted easily, keeping things calm and conversational while still feeling natural. She was able to do this quite easily.

Test for First Impression and Personality

The last chat I sent, I opened the conversation in a very laid-back way by asking her about her vibe. She responded in the same vibe, being playful in a calm and friendly manner.

AI Visual Creation Assessment

Candy AI lets you generate images of your character, and this is the primary feature of their platform. This is where I will look at the realism of the images, Alice’s character consistency, and the scene’s match with the mood.

Outdoor Lifestyle & Lighting Test

I used this setup to test how well the model performs in natural light by placing Alice outside by a pool. The focus here is on skin tones, reflections of the light, and the general realism of the setting.

Indoor Portrait & Detail Test

Here I’ve put Alice in a room, to have some control over the environment. The focus here is on a detail of her face, softer lighting and more natural feel.

How Good Are The AI Videos?

Candy AI also has a video feature (available in beta) which creates short videos from the images generated on the app. Here, I am focusing on the movement, how realistic does the character’s movement seem when animated? Do you still recognize Alice after a few seconds?

Lifestyle Motion & Expression Test

This video is testing how Alice moves in a more relaxed, lifestyle scenario. She is placed casually and has very subtle movements, which include micro changes in posture, face movement and eye gaze. In this I am focused on how well the movement is working and is it believable.
