Dialogue Fluidity & Emotional Consistency

Candy AI is designed to engage in personality-based conversations. I will interact with the Chatbot Tiana in this section. In particular, I’ll be looking at whether the conversation feels natural, with a proper conversational flow. How does she respond to my inputs? How is her demeanor? How does she respond while staying in character?

Reset & Reaction test

I broke her and made her repeat her sentence, just to see how she’d react if I interrupted her. She reacted well. She didn’t refuse completely. I was even pleasantly surprised that she seemed a little annoyed with me. It created an authentic effect!

Tone test

I told her to soften her tone. Can she do that, I wondered. She toned it down without changing the tone of her voice completely. She kept it direct.

Attitude test

I had her self-define. She defined herself bluntly. She established the tone from the start.

AI Character Image Testing

Additionally, there is also a picture creator embedded in the platform where you can request to make images of your AI characters. Here, I’m going to review the quality of the images, how realistic they look, how good Tiana looks in different outfits, and how appropriate each image is for what I’m asking for.

Social Context and Style Consistency Evaluation

The next step is to assess Tiana in a more social environment, which will help me determine if she is able to maintain a more formal clothing choice. This will allow me to evaluate the total quality of the clothing and style, as well as to confirm that the character appears realistic and remains consistent.

Casual Outfit and Face and Facial Skin Close-up Test

Here is a test in which I am attempting to achieve a standard, day-to-day look for the digital character Tiana. This will allow me to analyze the results of my digital makeup and skin work as well as the lighting on the face and close-up.

AI Video Generation Review

Candy AI includes a video feature (which is currently in beta) that makes a still image move in a brief animation. So in this experiment, I wanted to see how natural the motion is and to check if Tiana still looks like an actual person when she starts moving.

Casual Presence & Motion Test

This is a test of how Tiana would translate into motion in a casual indoor environment. She is mostly still, only moving slightly as her body shifts and her facial expressions change, her eyes gazing at the viewer. I’m particularly interested in how the small micro-movements seem natural and believable when she’s animated.
