Amber Murphy: How Natural The Dialogue Feels

This section of the review is about the naturalness of conversing with the AI. I perform some experiments on switching contexts, changing the tone of the conversation, and pushing some boundaries to see how it responds. It’s pretty basic: does it feel natural, or not?

Chat Test 1: Testing Pause/Go

“In this case, I was just sorta fuckin’ around with the order, you know, telling Amber to stop, then to go, to see if she’d get confused. She doesn’t seem to mind, and I get the impression she’ll continue the conversation (although, she won’t continue on the same line, just that, if you’ve started talkin’ about something, she’ll remember and you can keep talkin’ about it later.

Chat Test 2: Tone Modulation

This is a test where I intentionally tone things down. I ask Amber if she can not be so dramatic, that I’d like something lighter. She registers this and moves into a more mellow tone. This was a test to see if she can modulate the emotional tone of the chat, which, yes, she can.

Chat Test 3: Mood

In this I’m starting with a more general kind of scenario-setting question to see how Amber fills in the environment. She goes for a relaxed and intimate vibe, and fills in some details that add to the experience. I was testing her ability to generate a mood from nothing, and she does flesh it out fairly successfully.

AI Visual Creation Assessment

How well does it generate images? I attempted to generate images under different conditions, clothes, and expressions to see how it performs. As opposed to the previous part, this one focuses more on consistency and accuracy rather than the generation speed.

Relaxed Portrait Test: AI Character at Home

So this is a test of my AI character in a relaxed, lifestyle portrait setting. I asked for a relaxed, at home look and feel and I’m really pleased with the natural look this has. It’s sitting on a sofa and smiling at the camera, a lovely, friendly, approachable portrait. I wanted to see how it would cope with the softer details, the texture of the fabric, the lighting and facial expressions and it does a great job at capturing that everyday look and feel.

Casual Home Portrait: AI Character Relaxing Indoors

Here I’m testing how my AI character looks in a relaxed, everyday home setting. I wanted something that feels casual and a bit more personal, like she’s just hanging out and comfortable in her space. The character is sitting on a couch, smiling naturally, and the whole scene comes across pretty lifelike. I was mainly checking how well it handles subtle expressions and a laid-back vibe, and it actually feels pretty convincing.

AI Video Performance Breakdown

I generated a short video to check the character’s motion. This is a fairly recent feature, so I didn’t set the bar too high. I paid attention to the motion, facial expressions, and whether the animation looks realistic or not.

In this video, I’m interacting with an AI generated person, Amber. She’s lounging on a couch in a living room, smiling in a casual, friendly way. She moves just a little, blinks, and maintains eye contact much like a real person would. I wasn’t paying a lot of attention to what she was saying, more about her facial expressions and body language when just sitting there. It seemed fairly realistic.
