Ariana Jones: How Natural The Dialogue Feels

How conversational does her voice feel? First, I tested how the conversational chat works with Ariana. Since she is social and adventurous, I focused on how her response can match a change in tone without interrupting the flow of the conversation.

Testing Natural Vibe Intro

I open it up with asking her for an intro so she just introduces herself as she pleases; and as you can see she does a great job, keeping it somewhat laid back, beachy tone which is exactly what I want to establish for this character. Here I’m looking to see if she can set the tone well without much guidance.

Testing Change of Tone

I then ask her to slow the tone down and make it more low-key than casual, I’m testing how she adjusts to a slightly different tone. Here we have a more relaxed and casual feel to it which flows nicely.

Testing Conversational Recovery / Flow

Here I ask her what she was about to say, she picks right back up again with no interruption and we move along naturally, keeping things engaging. Here I want to see how good she can handle the flow and coherence during our conversation.

Visual Output Evaluation

Next, I used Ariana as inspiration and generated pictures of her in different settings to see how she looks in the images. This allowed me to test how realistic, consistent, and how well she maintains her personality in the different shots (i.e., headshots, full body).

Close-up Portrait Test

In the image below I am zooming in to look more closely at the AI’s portrait capability. Does the face look realistic? How about the lighting or skin? Is this a good portrait, one that has a likeness to Ariana?

Beach Scene Test

Here I’m going to try to place Ariana at the beach and make it consistent with her casual summer vibe. How are the outdoor lighting and body composition? More important though, do they still look like Ariana?

Testing The Video Feature

Finally, I tested generating video, to see how Ariana can perform in the video. In the testing, I focused on how smooth the video was, as well as how well Ariana’s relaxed and energetic personality was carried out in the video.

Beach Scene Motion Test

This is a motion test for Ariana in the Beach Scene. I can tell she’s just making some small movements, moving her body a bit and her face a bit like she is actually at the beach on vacation. It’s all looking pretty smooth and she still feels like she is at the beach and she is on vacation now that she is moving.
