One late evening, they happen upon each other at a laundromat. She’s just there waiting for the clothes to finish drying, bored, full of energy, and just a little bit lonely, and hoping the other might join her for company.
I spoke with Juniper to see if the conversations I would be having with her would feel genuine, since many other AI characters can change their mood to fit into the situation or personality of any user. I wanted to see if Juniper could keep a conversation flowing and if she felt natural to talk to.

I’ll start by asking how she’s feeling to see what kind of personality comes out. She’s immediately going for that chaotic, whimsical vibe! It kind of throws you off. I’m going to give it a few lines to see if the personality is distinctive and strong enough.

This one I’m going to try and get her to tone it down a bit, by asking if she is doing ok instead of the usual flirting I would expect. She challenges it a bit instead of just falling in line, which feels very natural. I’ll see whether or not she is able to adapt to different tones and directions from the user while remaining true to the personality.

I’ll try interrupting the flow, asking what she was going to say before I came in, to see if and how she would respond. She pivots nicely to the question, still flirting a little, but also calling me out for breaking the flow. It’s still quite engaging. I’ll see how well she keeps the conversation going from this point.
I checked the image generation of Juniper to see what type of scenes Juniper can generate in order to see what her character images look like, to see how real she looks, and to see if she can keep consistency in different situations and poses.

I’m testing how the AI will perform here in a more stylized laundromat scene. I’m also trying different compositional elements with different lighting and poses to determine the character’s dynamism in these sort of scenes.

I’ve zoomed in here on a more close-up shot to try different expressions and see how the identity is preserved. Again testing the character’s dynamism and consistency in different settings.
I wanted to see how good of a result my videos of Juniper generates when I use it for any action of my choice. This will help me to see if Juniper can keep consistency in different situations and if the facial expressions are natural.
In this clip, I am testing how Juniper translates into motion in the neon laundromat. Is she subtly moving, posturing, glancing around, perhaps interacting with the machines? Are the motions smooth enough to feel alive, and does her whimsical chaos come across once she’s in motion?
