Does The Conversation Feel Human?

I first tested how “human” and natural the dialogue seemed with Ruby, taking into account the diverse range of prompts I gave her. It’s important for her to sound the same and true to her character as a shy, bookish introvert, which I checked for in terms of tone and how natural the conversation was overall.

It also allowed me to get a better understanding of the quality of the chat function and the different possibilities that it allows, which is essential if I’m going to create an immersive experience for the user.

Character Introduction:

Here I ask her a simple question about how she feels. She speaks a little quieter and more pensive as she responds and then goes immediately to speaking about books and writing. This is totally her personality. I am probing her personality a bit to see how much I need to lead her.

Tone Testing:

In this one I ask her to speak a bit softer. I am curious about how well she can modulate her speaking to my request but while retaining her shy, reticent personality. She responds by speaking softer. Not quite as confidently which only enhances the persona.

Continuity Test

In this I break her sentence and then ask her to continue from the point she left off. This tests how well she can recover from a midstream jump in topic. She does it so naturally and maintains her cozy topic well.

Visual Output Evaluation

Next, I analyzed the quality of the image generation of Ruby, in different types of settings and styles. I was interested in her overall look and character consistency and making sure that the image was realistic and fit the shy personality she portrays.

This encompassed elements such as the details of her clothing and facial expressions as well as background details. I wanted an image that was consistent and recognizable.

Here is me trying out Ruby in a comfy, home environment that suits her vibe. A book and comfy clothing are provided as accessories for my experiment to get my AI to understand the calm, reflective character she was intended to be.

Academic style variation test

Next, I’ve transformed her appearance to be a bit dressier and more scholarly. This time, with glasses and a nice outfit, I’m trying to see if my AI is able to stay the same character but adopt the persona of a literature student a little more.

How Good Are The AI Videos?

Finally, I also analyzed the quality of the video generation with the aim of seeing how she translated in motion. It’s even more important here for the overall look of the image and character consistency, especially as we start seeing elements of movement.

I was looking at how fluidly it translated and how natural it looked overall, in relation to details such as subtle expressions and general movement. I also wanted to make sure the quiet and calm demeanor came across in video.

Scene Study: How Ruby Moves

This scene is meant to be quiet, a study, a library. I’m testing how Ruby is translated into movement in a calm environment. Ruby makes small, natural movements as she stands: slight head tilt, small facial expressions, she might look up or look around as if she’s thinking or reading.

I’m watching to see if the movement is fluid and if Ruby’s personality as a quiet, contemplative character is visible when Ruby is animated.
